Some Facials Questions?

What product line do you use in your facial services?

We use Image and Face Reality. We love these brands due to their dedication to staying as natural as possible while still delivering results that are only possible to achieve when using high levels of active ingredients. All of which offer an incredible source for safe, effective skin care and uses only food grade preservatives, no synthetic dyes and only the best cold-pressed essential oils for fragrance.

Will the facial hurt, or be uncomfortable?

You should never feel irritation, burning or discomfort during your facial.  All of the products I use are created to be non-irritating, and I have been trained to use the best products for your skin type. If for some reason you should feel discomfort, please tell me immediately.

How often should I get a facial?

Generally, facials are recommended once a month. However, we can discuss your specific needs, desired outcomes and schedule together.

How soon will I start seeing results from my facial?

Some people see results immediately, and your skin should feel different right away. The skin feels, clean, smooth, hydrated, and reflects a new level of health that’s visibly noticeable.  If the skin has more advanced long-term needs, such as treatment of skin aging, acne or hyper-pigmentation caused by hormonal fluctuations or sun damage, results may not be immediately visible; however, skin health will continue to improve as you follow my advice, and use a good home-care regimen.

Will my skin be red or irritated after my facial?

Slight redness is normal after a facial, especially if you’ve received any sort of chemical exfoliant such as a Glycolic or a Alpha Hydroxy Acid, or received a large amount of extractions. Slight irritation may be experienced during these instances, however it should not continue after your facial treatment has been completed. Certain skin types, including those who tend to be more sensitive, may be prone to experiencing more redness post treatment.
